Loner Life in Another World Chapter 1

Loner Life in Another World, also known as Lonely Attack on the Different World in Japanese (ひとりぼっちの異世界攻略, Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku), is a Japanese manga and light novel series created by Shoji Goji. The light novel series first appeared on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2016. It was later published in print with illustrations by Booota and Saku Enokimaru by Overlap starting in January 2018.

The manga adaptation of Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku, illustrated by Bibi, began serialization on the Comic Gardo manga website on January 25, 2019. As of April 2024, the manga has been compiled into nineteen tankōbon volumes. In March 2020, Kaiten Books announced that they had obtained the license for the manga’s English publication.

An anime television series adaptation of Loner Life in Another World was announced during the second livestream for the “10th Anniversary Memorial Overlap Bunko All-Star Assemble Special” event on January 21, 2024. The anime will be produced by Hayabusa Film and Passione, in collaboration with Frontier Engine. It will be directed by Akio Kazumi, with scripts by Kenta Ihara, character designs by Keiya Nakano, and music by Shūji Katayama. The series is scheduled to premiere in October 2024.

In terms of reception, Rebecca Silverman from Anime News Network praised the humor and illustrations, although she had mixed feelings about the character Haruka. Demelza from Anime UK News praised the story, particularly its action and comedy elements. The series has a circulation of 1.9 million copies between its digital and print releases.
